OS.14 is the fourteenth iteration of the Onsite furniture concept. Commissioned for TodaysArt in The Hague, it featured a glass serre lounge with tentacle lighting, seating, and DJ booth, built for reuse.
About
Presented at the TodaysArt Festival in The Hague, OS.14 extends the Onsite series into the domain of electronic art and digital culture. Installed inside a temporary glass structure on the Spuiplein, the project combined lounge seating, a DJ booth, and a network of luminous tubular elements that unfolded like tentacles across the space.
Far from being a simple scenographic backdrop, the installation positioned design as an active participant in the festival’s artistic ecosystem. By integrating light, form, and sound into a single environment, OS.14 challenged the usual separation between digital spectacle and physical structure.
Compact and modular by design, the project was conceived for reuse — later reinstalled at CTM Berlin — underscoring its pragmatic as well as aesthetic value. In doing so, it reaffirmed the Onsite system’s potential to adapt to diverse contexts, from cultural events to urban public space.
