OS.16 is the sixteenth iteration of the Onsite furniture concept. Commissioned for Vodafone’s offices in Maastricht, it merges seating and visual signage, turning the reception into both a functional bench and a symbolic marker.

OS.16 was commissioned for the entrance of Vodafone’s offices in Maastricht. The project proposes a dual function: it is at once a bench for seating and a visual sign marking the identity of the space.
The object oscillates between furniture and symbol, inviting use while also acting as a graphic gesture in the lobby. This tension is reflected in the project’s concept diagram, which shows the bench as “50% seat, 50% artwork.”
Structurally, the bench is composed of a steel framework covered with the Onsite series’ characteristic corrugated polyethylene tubes, creating a wave-like silhouette that draws visitors in while offering a place to pause.
By merging function and communication, OS.16 embodies the Onsite system’s ability to generate hybrid typologies, simultaneously utilitarian and emblematic.
