Reclaimed Wooden Shelving – Marseille
This shelving system was created from reclaimed plywood and laminated wood shelves recovered in a former catering workshop in Marseille. Each element, 30 mm thick, came in different sizes and proportions, making uniformity impossible at first glance.
The project inverted the usual digital craft paradigm. Instead of starting from standardized material to design customized pieces, the challenge was the opposite: how to create a standardized shelf from non-standard material.
The resulting structure aligns irregular components into a coherent system, demonstrating how reuse can generate both functional furniture and new design methodologies.
