CNC-cut wooden furniture optimized like a puzzle, inspired by Enzo Mari’s Zoo animals.
About:
This project brings together a chair and a table, both CNC-cut from wooden panels. The chair is particularly striking: despite the complexity of its design, the cutting layout produces only 15% material waste. This approach draws inspiration from Enzo Mari’s Zoo series of wooden animals, where the puzzle-like arrangement of silhouettes within a panel transforms efficiency into a creative principle.
The table follows the same logic of optimization, combining structural clarity with a reduction of offcuts, turning the cutting sheet itself into part of the design process.
