Modular furniture and scenographic elements for the Château de Chamarande, CNC-cut from panels and assembled on site without nails or screws
PA.04 — Chamarande was conceived and produced for the Château de Chamarande in Essonne, bringing the PANELS system into an architectural and exhibition context. The project consisted of a diverse family of elements: circular benches, individual seats, stools, and display plinths.
The constructive principle relied on CNC-cut flat panels assembled without nails or screws, making the entire system easy to transport and mount on site. This approach highlights the efficiency and flexibility of digital fabrication: compact shipping, rapid assembly, and reusable structures that adapt to different uses.
Beyond their practical function, the pieces contributed to the scenographic identity of the château, combining contemporary digital craft with the historic setting. Notably, the stools developed for Chamarande became a key element for the continued evolution of the PANELS series, serving as a reference model for future projects.
